It's Winter! This is your reminder that it's important students bring all necessary winter gear to school. This includes coats, hats, gloves, boots, and snow pants—especially for recess and those riding the bus, regardless of age. If you are unable to provide what your child needs please contact the school office.

The Langford Area Junior Anatomy class and Mrs. AJ had an incredible experience today in Brookings at the SDSU cadaver lab! This hands-on learning opportunity allowed students to deepen their understanding of human anatomy in a real-world setting. A big thank you to SDSU for hosting us and providing such a valuable educational experience!

Today, students at Langford Area had a fantastic time learning about the electoral process! They engaged in interactive activities that helped them understand how elections work and the importance of their voices in shaping the future. After gaining insights into the electoral system, students had the chance to cast their own votes in a mock election. Here are the results:

Save the Dates: Join the Sisseton School Special Education Department for sessions presented by the South Dakota Parent Connection on Autism and Related Disorders. The sessions will be live-streamed in the Sisseton School District Multipurpose Room. All are welcome to attend. The first session is October 28 from 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.

Northwestern MS Music Festival for selected musicians is tomorrow,Tuesday, Oct 15 in Mellette.Bus will load outside the Wellness Center doors at 8:15am. Concert at 7:00 pm. Please make sure permission/parent forms and lunch money is given to Mrs. Wieser.

The Langford Area Marching Lions took second place "Band of Merit" in the Lake Region Marching Band Festival in Groton today. Emily Olson and Eliana Darling were also awarded "Best Drum Major!"

Parents of MS/HS Children with Special Needs: October 8th at 7pm there will be a parent group at First Lutheran Hall in Britton. They will have Transition and Vocational Rehabilitation Services staff there to present and answer questions.

Some students at Langford Area School celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day and National Pancake Day on September 26th! Students read stories, completed thematic work, and enjoyed making pancakes, and trying sweet apples and sour apples!
