Casey Kulm Memorial Scholarship Due: April 1st
The Casey Kulm Memorial Scholarship Fund was formed to honor Casey and to provide scholarships to individuals that are pursuing education/certification as an emergency medical technician (EMT) or paramedic. Applicant must be a US citizen and a resident of Brown, Edmonds, Faulk, Day, Spink, Marshall, or McPherson county in South Dakota. Applicant must be a student who is enrolled or is planning to enroll in a South Dakota EMT or paramedic program. Recipients must begin the educational program in the award year.
Scottish Rite Due: April 1st
Book grants of $250.00 to assist in buying textbooks are awarded to high school graduates or college students going to a SD post-secondary school of their choice.

South Dakota Association of Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Contractors Scholarship Due: April 1st
Students interested in a career in the plumbing, heating and cooling field can apply. There will be two scholarships in the amount of $2000 given to students in South Dakota.
The Charles Johnson Education and Training Trust: Due: April 1st
The purpose of this trust is to promote education, training, hiring and placement of persons to work and potentially begin their lifelong careers in the manufacturing and fabrication industry or trades within the Day County area. The students to be recognized with this award are to be of good character and planning to pursue careers in manufacturing and technology, including but not limited to: Precision machining, welding, electronics, robotics, energy technology, engineering, construction management, etc. Any student or adult person residing in Day County, wishing to further their education and career goals is eligible to apply for this scholarship. The number of recipients and amount of each award will be determined annually by the trust board.

LockHeed Martin is awarding 200 renewable scholarships of $10,000 each. Awards are open to individuals studying eligible engineering or computer science majors, who demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities.

Duane Mertes Memorial Pheasant Restoration Scholarship Due: April 1st
The Lake Region Pheasant Restoration Association will sponsor two annual scholarships in the amount of $250 per scholarship. One graduating senior from the Langford High School and one graduating senior from the Britton-Hecla High School will receive the award.

Lamport Family Scholarship Due: April 1st
The purpose of this grant is to provide scholarships to graduates of Marshall County schools in memory of Steve Lamport and the Lamport Family. Applicants must exhibit the qualities of leadership, good citizenship, honesty, and personal initiative. The amount and number of scholarships awarded shall be determined by the Board of Trustees and will be based on the amount of funding available for distribution.
Day County Coyote Hunt Scholarship Due: April 1st
The Day County Coyote Hunt Scholarship Program has been established to award scholarships to immediate family (based on IRS Family Definition) of a current or former SD National Guard soldier & desire to further their education.
Applicants must be 19 years of age or younger. You must be a graduating senior from an accredited high school during the year of application. This scholarship may also be granted to a family member of a SD National Guard soldier who is physically challenged as determined by the American Disabilities Act passed on July 25, 1990
Inez Taylor Walter Scholarship Fund Due: April 1st
The Inez Taylor Walter Scholarship Fund was established by Harley Taylor in memory of his sister, Inez Walter who was from the Ipswich area. The scholarship is for high school students in South Dakota. Preference in awarding this scholarship will be given to a student planning on attending a South Dakota or North Dakota college or university in the field of nursing.
Plains Commerce Bank Scholarship Due: April 1st
Multiple scholarships awarded to high school seniors who are attending a post-secondary South Dakota college, university, or tech school on a full-time basis. The scholarships are based primarily on an individual’s activities, community involvement, character and need, and not GPA. The student or student’s parents must be a customer of Plains Commerce Bank to be eligible.
Donald H. Quimby Memorial Scholarship Due: April 1st
This scholarship provides a one-time $350 award to a worthy South Dakota high school graduate attending a post-secondary institution. Donald Quimby spent his professional life in service to others as a teacher, coach, and administrator. He believed that everyone should have the same opportunity at a higher education, regardless of GPA. Applicants for this scholarship award must meet the following minimum criteria: Graduate from a South Dakota high school; Submit a 300 to 500-word essay detailing your personal story, interests and educational goals.
SDATAT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Due: April 1st
The South Dakota Association of Towns & Townships is offering one $1000 and one $500 scholarship to two senior high school students who reside in South Dakota, are currently attending a South Dakota public, private, parochial high school or a home school program, and lives in a town or township that is a current member of SDATAT. (A membership list is available on the sdtownships.com website) or contact your local town/ township board. The student must use the scholarship for a college, university, or vocational school which has a physical presence in South Dakota. Applicants must complete an application form and submit it along with their essay on this year’s topic. The application is attached and available:

USA Softball Scholarship Due: April 1st
Scholarships are awarded to students who have participated in USA softball of South Dakota and are furthering their education after high school. Students must have participated in USA softball for at least 3 years as either a player, umpire, or coach.

South Dakota Grand Commandery Knights Templar Scholarship Due: April 5th
The Grand Commandery Knights Templar of South Dakota will award several scholarships in the amount of $1,000. to South Dakota residents who plan to attend a state Technical College in South Dakota. Successful candidates are US citizens who will demonstrate financial need and the capability to complete the vocational training program they selected. Scholarships will be granted for one year but may be applied for each year for a maximum of three years.
First District Development Company Scholarship Due: April 5th
First District Development Company, South Dakota’s small business finance partner, is pleased to offer five - $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing a post-secondary degree in a business/finance related field.
To be eligible for a First District Development Company scholarship, you must meet all of the following criteria: Be a U.S. citizen, Be a high school senior attending a South Dakota High School, Be accepted into a business/finance program at an accredited, post-secondary institution in South Dakota, Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or greater, calculated on a 4.0 grading scale.
Dakota Supply Group Scholarship Due: April 5th
DSG established the DSG Education Connection Fund in 2009 to provide scholarships for those who wish to join the trade industries. Since then, the DSG Education Connection Fund has awarded 125 scholarships totaling over $125,000 to students finding their careers in the trades. It’s easy to apply, and it may just give you the head start you need.
Dakota Relays Gold Medal Scholarship Due: April 10th
South Dakota senior track and field athlete who has participated in a Howard Wood Dakota Relay and has committed to attend a college/university and continue a track and field career.
SDSTE Scholarship Due: April 15th
Applicants must:
1) Be a graduating High School senior enrolling or who has gained acceptance to a post secondary educational institution in the field of educational technology or a technology related field. Application and Rubric are attached.
2) Provide an official high school transcript demonstrating a minimum 2.5 grade point average or above.
3) Have a current member of SDSTE in their district or have a parent who is a current member of SDSTE.
4) Provide a Verification letter of Community Service.
5) Provide two (2) Letters of Recommendation from a teacher, coach, school administrator, and/or employer.
6) Provide one (1) Letter of Recommendation from a current member of SDSTE. (Ms. Hill is a current member)
Good Father Augustus Tolton Scholarship Due: April 15th
Qualifications:
Cumulative unweighted high school or college GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Not participating in athletics at Mount Marty.
Be willing to actively participate in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at Mount Marty.
Dr. Dale A Gibson Oral Health Scholarship Fund Due: April 15th
Need to be pursuing a degree in dental assisiting at Lake Area Technical College with the intent of staying in South Dakota after graduation.
Esther Edie Environmental Scholarship Due: April 15th
Must be pursuing a degree in enviromental science, environmental georgraphy, environmental sociology, Natural Resource Management, or Environmental Law at a South Dakota college or university.
Charles Johnson Education and Training Trust Due: April 15th
The students to be recognized with this award are to be of good character and planning to pursue Careers in Manufacturing and Technology including but not limited to: Precision Machining, Welding, Electronics, Robotics, Energy Technology, Engineering, Construction Management, etc. Any high school senior residing in Day County is eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Scott Lippencott Memorial Scholarship: Due: April 15th
The qualification requirements for the Scott Lippincott Memorial Scholarship are as follows:
1. Student must be enrolled in a two or four year program at a college or technical school.
2. Essay:
a. Please discuss how you have been involved in your community.
b. Explain your character and your accomplishments in high school. Discuss how your character has contributed to those accomplishments.
c. Most importantly, we ask each student to write about what you feel it means to be Kind and A Good Member of Society.
Mitchell Tech Welding and Machining Scholarship: Due: April 15th
This scholarship is aimed at supporting students who aspire to specialize in either Progressive Welding Technology or Machining and Manufacturing Technology during their second year of study.
Eligibility requirements: Students have a high school 2.5 GPA or higher and obtain a recommendation from a high school welding teacher, counselor, or administrator.
Full Circle Ag Due: April 15th
Scholarships for student pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in agronomy or related crop production, or closely related fields. Applicants must live within the Full Circle Ag trade territory to be eligible. $500-$1000 scholarship will be awarded based on scholastic achievement, leadership in agriculture, and perceived ability to contribute to agriculture in the future. Gene Abdallah Scholarship Fund Due: April 15th
Scholarship Criteria:
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Pursuing a career in law enforcement.
Letter of acceptance from a South Dakota college, university, or tech school.
Submit a short essay describing:
Their interest in law enforcement
What type of law enforcement career they intend to pursue
Any family history in law enforcement
Deanne Mauck Scholarship Due: April 21st
One $250 scholarship is available for a Northern State University incoming freshman who has participated in one or more NSU E-learning classes and has earned a grade of "B" or better.

Applicant must desire a career in a retail field. Student must intend to enroll full-time at a post-secondary school. Awards will not be based solely on financial need or grades. Examples of areas of study considered to be retail-related may include (but are not be limited to): Accounting, Agribusiness, Apparel Merchandising, Auto Mechanics, Automotive Technology, Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Commercial Baking, Culinary Arts, Diesel Mechanics, Electrical Maintenance, Heating/Ventilation, Hotel/Restaurant Management, Landscape Design, Pharmacy, Printing Industries, Refrigeration, Sales/Marketing Management, and Tourism Industry Management. Sanford Health Network Healthcare Career Scholarship: Due April 23rd
Sanford Health Network is pleased to offer a $2,000 scholarship opportunity to students pursuing a post-secondary degree in a health care-related field. FCU Stanley Moore Scholarship Due: April 30th
Open to Farmers Union members and their children in Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
Veterans United Foundation Scholarship Due: April 30th
Be a surviving child of a deceased service member from a service-related death and be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a college or university.
Sheriff Dale Elsen Memorial Scholarship Due: April 30th
This scholarship is open to senior students from Marshall, Brown, Day and Roberts Counties, perusing a 2-4 yr degree in Criminal Justice or Social Services at a South Dakota College/University. It will be granted without regard to race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Funds will be dispersed to the students place of education at the end of the first semester, after providing a students GPA is 2.0 or Higher.
The Scott Hegge Memorial Scholarship Due: April 30th
This scholarship provides a one-time $1,000.00 award to a worthy high school graduate attending a post-secondary institution. Two scholarships will be awarded each year.
Scott Hegge was an Aberdeen Central High School and Moorhead State University graduate. He was interested in outdoor activities ranging from hunting and fishing to baseball, softball and golf. He loved to help others, which lead to a group of his friends starting the Scott Hegge Memorial Scholarship to keep his giving spirit alive.
Eligibility:
Scholarships are limited to high school seniors or a collegiate freshman, sophomore, or junior who reside in a 50-mile radius from Aberdeen, SD.
Submit a 300 to 500-word essay detailing your life’s highlights, aspirations and goals. Please include examples of your outdoor activities and how they have enhanced your life. (For example: Being a member of the PGA JR Golf program…….)
Please attach your essay and a copy of your high school or college transcript to this application before submitting it.
Provide a copy of the acceptance letter to the post-secondary institution.
Restoration of Sight and Health Scholarship Due: April 30th
Open to seniors planning to attend college in South Dakota or North Dakota. Student must be pursuing an education in a field related to the Mission of Dakota Lions Sight & Health (Helping to Enable the Restoration of the Gifts of Sight & Health) - this may include health professions, science and research, social services, philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, etc.
